NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- As one of the largest cable blackouts in the industry's history stretches into its fourth day, analysts say they're not holding their breath for a quick resolution. Both sides have too much at stake in a fight affecting 20 million DirecTV customers.

Many industry watchers think Viacom will get some of the fee increase it's seeking, but not without a protracted battle.

Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, other Viacom channels come off DirecTV

DirecTV subscribers have lost"SpongeBob SquarePants,""The Daily Show" and "Mob Wives."

Unable to reach a deal with Viacom, parent of several popular cable channels, including MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and VH1, DirecTV is no longer carrying the media giant's networks. DirecTV has almost 20 million subscribers around the nation.

Both sides blamed each other for the channels coming off of the satellite broadcaster on Tuesday evening. Viacom said DirecTV dropped the channels without warning. DirecTV countered that its hand was forced by Viacom.

"DirecTV executives reached out to Viacom both yesterday and today with a new proposal and a request to keep the channels on while we continued to negotiate, but never heard back, so DirecTV had to comply with their demand to take the channels down or face legal action," the company said in a statement

A Massachusetts man charged with plotting to attack the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol with large, remote-controlled model airplanes packed with explosives has agreed to plead guilty, authorities said on Tuesday.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys have agreed to request a 17-year sentence for Rezwan Ferdaus on charges that he attempted to damage and destroy a federal building, and attempted to provide material support to terrorists.

Ferdaus, 26, of Ashland, Massachusetts, earlier pleaded not guilty to a total of six charges after his arrest in September 2011 after an undercover FBI investigation.

That’s when Novartis recalled the popular product, along with Bufferin, No-Doz, and Gas-X because of quality control issues at the drug maker’s Nebraska plant.

“Novartis, the manufacturer of Excedrin, has opted to completely shut down production to aid in more quickly updating some of their facilities,” explains Paula Horn at the Allegheny General Hospital pharmacy.

Some patients are desperate, paying anywhere from $100 to $300 on Amazon.
