Actress carries Orangeburg with her in L.A.
She may live in Los Angeles, but actress Angell Conwell says Orangeburg will always be home.“When I say home, I still definitely think of Orangeburg,” she said. “My granny is still there and my aunt and cousins are still there. I used to visit my granny and papa every weekend. My parents went to South Carolina State University.
“I’m a hometown girl for sure and that I have navigated to L.A. from my hometown and represented well means the most to me.”
Conwell, who plays attorney Leslie Michaelson on “The Young and the Restless,” is the 28-year-old daughter of Brian Conwell and Sheila Legette, a talent agent whose roster includes Vivica Fox and Dorian Gregory. Her maternal grandmother is Eva Legette of Orangeburg.
