Target, Kohl’s Are Hiring More Than 100,000 Seasonal Workers
Major U.S. retailers Kohl’s and Target plan on making it a happy holiday for many folks around the country by hiring more than 100,000 holiday employees, reports The Wall Street Journal.Although Target, one of America’s favorite department stores, plans to employ 80,000 to 90,000 seasonal workers to help with the holiday crowds, its numbers are actually down from last year’s hirings, which stood at a robust 92,000.
Kohl’s, the country’s 20th largest retailer, plans to increase its holiday temps by hiring 10 percent more than they did last year. Even though the Wisconsin-based retailer has been struggling sales-wise, they plan on adding at least 41 holiday hires per store across its 1,146 locations nationwide.
