Cameron's daughter-left-in-pub incident: is the PM just too 'chillaxed'?

Other people, including past PMs, have left their offspring in the pub, but it can't help that this prolongs the budget 'omnishambles'

Look, it's no big deal that David Cameron left his eight-year-old daughter in a pub and didn't discover his mistake until he and the rest of the family got back to Chequers. As we've all been thinking since hearing the overnight news, many people have left their kids in the pub or the baby on the bus, including many prime ministers.

Churchill's son, Randolph, was rarely out of one pub or another. Gladstone's son, Herbert, was not only left in the pub – Dad was always popping in for a few G&Ts on those long walks of his – but left in the charge of the Home Office during William Gladstone's fourth and last administration (1892-94). As for Tony Blair, didn't his eldest find his own way into a pub and end up in a gutter?

U.S. Secretary of Commerce John Bryson was involved in two hit-and-run accidents in the San Gabriel Valley on Satruday before being found unconscious inside his Lexus vehicle by police, authorities said.

Bryson was treated at the scene by Los Angeles County firefighters. Authorities said drugs or alcohol do not appear to have played a role in the crash.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and San Gabriel Police Department said in a joint statement that Bryson was cooperative wad detectives. He was cited for felony hit and run but was not booked into jail because he had been admitted to the hospital. His condition was not known.
"The investigation is in its preliminary stages," the statement said.
Bryson was driving a Lexus in the 400 block of South San Gabriel Boulevard shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday, when he allegedly rear-ended a Buick as it was waiting for a train to pass, according to the statement,
After briefly stopping to talk to the three men inside the Buick, Bryson left the location in the Lexus and then struck the Buick a second time, authorities said. The men followed Bryson's car and called 911 to ask for police assistance.

Ecoli outbreak in 6 states prompts awareness in Horry County

With the recent Ecoli outbreak in six states across the nation, people are on high alert. According to reports 14 people have been sickened by the bacteria and one child has died.
Right now cases have been reported in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee and California. While experts try to put the pieces together as to what made people sick, doctors along the Grand Strand said they are encouraging people to take proactive steps when they are preparing food to avoid an Ecoli outbreak here at home.
Dr. Ron Reynolds of Beach Urgent Care says there is a wide range in severity of symptoms in Ecoli cases.
"It can be as simple as diarrheal illness but at the same point and time it can be extremely severe to the point where you'll have deaths from it," Dr. Reynolds said.
