KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.—History may some day show that Rory McIlroy took the title as golf's Anointed One from Tiger Woods Sunday somewhere on the front nine in the final round at the PGA Championship.





Man arrested for shooting at Chicago-area mosque with pellet rifle as hundreds worship inside 

David Conrad faces felony charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm. Police later retrieved high-velocity air rifle from his home.

He was charged with three counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm and one count of criminal damage to property, all felonies. He is scheduled for a bond hearing on Monday.
David Conrad, 51, has been arrested for shooting at the Muslim Education Center mosque in Morton Grove, Ill. with a pellet rifle Friday evening.

Defense giant Lockheed Martin announced in April that its chief operating officer, Christopher E. Kubasik, above, would replace retiring chief executive Robert J. Stevens.


High-level executives looking to nab a new C-suite job in the Washington area may be hard-pressed to find a place to send their résumé.
Hiring specialists and others say that local companies are frequently filling top positions from within their own ranks instead of casting a wider net, a trend that began during the recession and has continued under the uncertainty of a sluggish recovery.
