Tiger five off pace as PGA Championship suspended for day
KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – A wicked storm sweeping over Kiawah Island forced a delay in the third round of the PGA Championship on Saturday — coming at the worst time for Rory McIlroy, Vijay Singh and Adam Scott.
It could turn out to have come at the best time for Tiger Woods, trying to win his 15th major and first since the 2008 U.S. Open.
Co-leader
McIlroy was staring at a birdie putt on the 10th hole when the horn
blew signaling a halt in the action at 4:50 p.m ET because of lightning
in the area; the round later was suspended for the day. McIlroy was tied
for the lead with Singh, who was playing with Woods.
SHIMLA: At least 52 people were killed and 45 injured when a heavily
overloaded bus plunged into a gorge on Saturday in northern India, in
one of the worst road accidents in the country in recent years.
The
bus, which was carrying over 100 passengers - many of them on the roof -
veered off the road in a sparsely populated and hilly area of the state
of Himachal Pradesh. “Fifty-two people have been killed and 45 injured
in the accident,” Sunil Chaudhary, district deputy commissioner, told
AFP, adding the death toll could rise because at least a dozen of the
injured were in a critical condition.
There were anguished scenes as families came to claim the bodies of the victims. Many of the dead had boarded the 42-seater bus when their own bus broke down, locals told AFP. Some of the bodies were taken away by their families for cremation while the state government brought in four truckloads of wood to cremate other victims at the accident site.
The cause was not immediately
known but some witnesses said that the driver lost control of the
vehicle on a sharp bend. The accident occurred in the morning near
Chamba town, about 190 kilometres (120 miles) from the state capital
Shimla. The area where the accident happened is treacherous and known
for zig-zag turns.

Travel App Must Have: 4sqwifi
Nothing is more inconvenient than checking into a hotel and realizing the wi-fi comes at an extra, often unreasonable, cost. All we want to do is send out a couple of emails, or download a quick file, and now we have to shell out $13.00 to get online for a few minutes? Ridiculous.Thankfully, 4sqwifi helps us solve this problem. For Foursquare users, 4sqwifi will help you find nearby wifi locations and the passwords to go with them at nearby Foursquare venues. After users log in with their Foursquare ID, a list of all the nearby free WiFi locations will come up.
